Dragons’ Den Inspires Creativity and Collaboration Across the School
Pupils from Nursery through to Year 6 at Millbrook Primary School recently took part in an exciting Dragons’ Den event, pitching their ideas for projects and resources that would benefit their classes and enhance learning experiences across the school.
With an initial funding pot of £200 every class prepared and delivered a unique pitch. The afternoon showcased an incredible range of talents, including singing performances, persuasive presentations, creative poems, and an epic drama production from Year 6. The confidence, creativity and enthusiasm on display made for a truly memorable event.
The proposed projects were equally impressive, with classes requesting funding for playground equipment, mark-making resources, contributions towards educational trips, and the creation of calm corners to support wellbeing in the classroom.
We were delighted to welcome local businessman Anthony Barton, who was so impressed by the pupils’ efforts that he generously donated an additional £100 towards repairs on the nursery slide. Anthony Benedict, our CEO, was also on the panel and on behalf of our Trust matched the PTFA’s contribution increasing the total funding pot to an amazing £1,200!
Following the presentations, it was agreed that every class would receive £200 towards their chosen project, ensuring that all pupils benefit from the fantastic ideas and hard work demonstrated throughout the event.
A huge congratulations to all of our pupils for their outstanding presentations and to everyone who helped make the afternoon such a success.
